The Church of Sweden in Växjö, Western area, is looking for a priest for the Öjaby and Gemla parishes. We are looking for someone with experience in leading and equipping employees and volunteers. You will join two parishes with five churches and become part of a team of ten creative employees. There is good collaboration with the surrounding community and strong volunteer forces. We are seeking a present priest with the ability to build parish life sustainably.

Your main responsibilities:

• lead and unify the team in Öjaby-Gemla
• work based on the worship life
• perform church services
• equip people to become more involved in worship life
• develop new structures for volunteer engagement in the parishes

You will have your workplace at the Öjaby parish house but will serve throughout the area. You will be part of the steering group for the Western area and have an appointment in the Öjaby parish council.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a priest in the Church of Sweden. You are a confident and attentive person who builds trust and develops good relationships. You have leadership experience and see teamwork as a given. We place great importance on personal suitability.
Driver's license class B – Car.
